Abstract

The 3CP is composed of three closed processes and a open process corresponding to the working
fluid feed compressor completing the cycle. The 3CP is mainly characterised by doing work by adding
and extracting heat The work carried out in chapter 4 aims at analyzing and developing the feasible
3CP models exhibiting the proper characteristics to be implemented with three-point based thermal
cycles into reciprocating double-acting actuators. One of the objectives consists of determining their
viability in terms of feasibility, performance which includes thermal efficiency and practical
implementation facilities. Thus, in order to overcome the drawbacks encountered with the simplest
thermal cycles such as Lenoir thermal cycles (LTCs), let us start the search task by using different
alternative modes of feasible heat-work interactions involving efficient useful work, among which are
