Recurrent Episodes of Oral Pyogenic Granuloma at Different Site: A Rare Case Presentation

One of the benign vascular neoplasms with a female predisposition seen in the first and second decade of life is pyogenic granuloma. Pyogenic granuloma typically appears as a tiny, reddish exophytic lesion on the gingiva. Gingiva is the most commonly affected site followed by the tongue, hard palate, lip, buccal mucosa, and the floor of the mouth. Recurrence of the lesion is only occasionally documented following the excision at the same place, and it occasionally occurs at uncommon sites with extraordinary sizes. This case study describes an 8-year-old girl who experienced recurrent pyogenic granuloma episodes at various sites and times, which was deemed to be an atypical presentation. It emphasises the significance of early detection and care of the pyogenic granuloma to prevent discomfort.
