Abstract

The Maxwell distribution is a well known and commonly used distribution in the physical phenomena particularly in Physics. The concept of the length-biased distribution can be employed in the development of proper models for the lifetime data. In this paper, we introduce a length-biased weighted Maxwell distribution (LBWMD) for the efficient modelling of data. The mathematical properties of the proposed LBWMD are derived and analyzed. The application of the new distribution to a Physics data is presented.
