Abstract

This chapter describes the concept of “othering” that has occurred towards the Asian American Community. A background is given to theories why this phenomenon occurred during the Covid-19 pandemic. The violence towards this population during the Covid-19 pandemic is recounted. Lastly, recommendations are made for nursing faculty and nursing education administrators on how to handle this phenomenon should it occur.
