Abstract

A survey is given regarding the analysis of AC structure and DHC structure, flat tree and DG Network, sensor architecture design, Ad-hoc sensor networks, sensor applications and also an overview on the client/server model and Mobile-Agent Based network. Sensor networks have been used for vehicle traffic monitoring and control for quite a while. Most traffic intersections have either overhead or buried sensors to detect vehicles and control traffic lights. Distributed sensor networks (DSNs) have evolved from small clusters of large sensors to large swarms of small sensors, from fixed sensor nodes to mobile nodes, from wired communications to wireless communications, and from static network topology to dynamically changing topology to developments in sensor technology and computer networks. This study presents a complete review on various applications of wireless sensors networks. The study as well as an overview of the client/server model and mobile-agent based network etc. are all covered in this chapter.
